Dérives unfolds as three pieces drawn from an original unreleased composition. The works seek to break and expand the original material through the use of the modular synthesizer, reinterpreting form, polyphony and timbral treatments without further editing of the recorded takes.

Incessant or sporadic rubbing, varying degrees of spectral distortion and shifts in perpetual stretching weave the fabric from which these three compositions-interpretations played in real time emerge.
